Put-in-Bay T-Shirt Shack

Located right on the Delaware Avenue strip in downtown Put-in-Bay, the Shirt Shack sells t-shirts, tanks, dresses, boardshorts, hoodies, and their signature silly hats all at fair and reasonable prices. The store is literally filled to the brim with goodies while their dazzling collection of hats hang from the ceiling. It is easy to get lost amongst all their wares.

Delaware Avenue

The bustling street outside the Put-in-Bay Shirt Shack is home to some of the best shops and dining options on the island. After shopping til you drop at the Shirt Shack keep up the shopping spree at stores such as the Carriage House, Del Sol for amazing color change t-shirts and nail polish, and the Misty Bay Boutique for the best in women’s fashions.

After finishing up, shoppers are welcomed to store their bags at the public lockers provided in DeRivera Park, located right across the street. The lockers are also housed in the bathhouse along with public restrooms. The park includes a gazebo, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Relax in the shady expanse of the park after a day of shopping.

Dining in Put-in-Bay

After a breather in the park, head to one of many delicious dining destinations on the island. While most restaurants are found downtown, there are also a few yummy ones a little further afield. Goat Soup and Whiskey serves delicious globally inspired cuisine in a beautiful setting. The chefs use fresh herbs and vegetables directly from their garden. Make sure to try the Perch Tacos.

Joe’s Bar sits right next to South Bass Island State Park. With a yummy menu of burgers, hot dogs, and paninis, this self-proclaimed “best dive bar on the planet,” features a beautiful back patio complete with bar games.

Of course, there is no end to the options downtown. For a romantic dinner for two, grab a seat on the deck at The Keys for Caribbean inspired cuisine. Or listen to live music while noshing on Irish fare at the popular Hooligans Irish Pub.

Don’t forget a stop at Chicken Patio next door the iconic Round House Bar for their award winning wine basted BBQ chicken.
