Ever had a cocktail on an actual fire truck? Thanks to the Grand Islander Hotel, now you can! Located on the property of this hotel, The Last Resort Engine Company is right in the middle of downtown Put-in-Bay.

The Last Resort Engine Company Details

The Last Resort Engine Company is actually a 1980s American Lafrance Pumper truck with the tank removed. A deck has been built around the truck to optimal seating for people watching and enjoying the beautiful summers on Put-in-Bay.

The bar stools are actual fire extinguishers with turnout gear from area fire departments. The bar top is diamond deck with the original ladders hanging from the awning which covers the whole deck. Used fire helmets, including one from the NYFD that was worn on 9/11, hang from the ladders.

A variety of t-shirts are available for sale with pictures of this awesome truck emblazoned on them. There are flat screens TV’s with the game on. The bartenders are super friendly and the drinks are strong. This makes it a great place for an afternoon drink.
