Harnessing the power of nature, Christie hand crafts gentle yet effective means of caring for yourself. From balms to toners, makeup and sun care, her line of products, is really quite something.

A while back, Christie decided to create her own line of skincare to better take care of her and her family’s health. Building on an old family recipe her first product ever made was the popular Gramma’s Salve. This powerful remedy helps heal scrapes, cuts, and soothe aching muscles. Try this after a day spent fishing on the boat. You won’t regret it!

Onkt Organics skincare sets includes cleansers, toners, and serums. Select from blends like Sage, Latte, and Lavender. Individual items are available for sale as well.

Christie developed her famous Da’Balm while on Maui, where she spends half the year. Nourish your skin with this reef safe, people safe balm available in a range of SPF’s. Island Lavender is mixed with non-nano zinc oxide – meaning the particles are too large to enter the bloodstream- for a divinely rich balm. Take this wherever you go.

She also makes delightful lip balm and gloss. Da’Balm is also available in a lip tube for an easy application. Her lip gloss comes in three colors inspired by the color of red wines and colored naturally by mica!

Slather on her amazing coconut oil infusions after a shower. This product is so popular there are only a few left. Choose from rose, lavender, or latte.

Freshwater Retreat

Christie, a true island girl, divides her time between South Bass Island and Maui. Freshwater Retreat accepts reservations for their main house and private apartment.

The historic brick home was built in 1860 when Put-in-Bay was just starting to get settled. Christie’s family came to the island in 1880. The house used to be one of the island vineyards and there are still some grape vines on the property today.

The private apartment sits above Freshwater Remedies and can sleep up to six. There is a 24 hour breakfast bar available as well as hot tub. Enjoy the beautiful grounds every morning and evening. This is really Put-in-Bay living at its best.
